Thrust Surfing Schools specializes in private, one-on-one surfing lessons for people of all ages. We have instructors covering West
Gilgo
Beach
(Central Long Island),
New York
and Wrightsville Beach,
North Carolina
. While our lessons are available to everyone, we focus on teaching working professionals and fitness minded adults. We schedule lessons based on availability, your schedule and surfing goals, and wave/weather conditions, in that order.

| Additionally, we offer surf instruction services for groups of up to 12 people, corporate surfing workshops that focus on team-building, surfing parties and events, stand-up paddle board lessons, ocean survival techniques, and basic swimming lessons. | Thrust Surfing Schools was founded in 2007 by Chris Kluesener, who has has been teaching others to surf since 2002. Chris was born and raised at West Gilgo Beach, NY which is one of the most remote beach communities on Long Island. A full 30 minute drive from the nearest school or grocery store, this area is a perfect place for learning to surf. Today, Thrust Surfing Schools has more than a dozen instructors teaching in two states to continue the tradition of teaching others to surf. |
